Varsity Defensive Line

Jerod Brown has been coaching since 2010, and in 2017 joined Robert E. Lee. He is coaching varsity defensive line, JV defense, and basketball as well as teaching health and PE. Coach Brown graduated from Whitehouse High School where he played linebacker and tight end. His achievements include being a 3 year starter, 3 time player of week, 1st team All-District linebacker, 1st team All-District tight end, All-East Texas linebacker, and a scholarship recipient. In basketball, he was a 3 year letterman and achieved 1st team district. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business with a minor in Business Management from Sam Houston State University. While there his accomplishments include being a 4 year letterman as a linebacker, fullback, and defensive lineman. He was also on the Southland Conference honor roll for outstanding athletic achievement, the Commissioner’s Academic honor roll, team captain, and Southland Conference Honorable Mention. Coach Brown and his wife, Angelica, have three children, Brayden, Anaya Marie, and Beau. His hobbies include spending time with family, reading, sports, writing, teaching, fishing, hunting and studying the Bible.
